Business Law Experience
Dan's practice includes the capitalization and initial structure of business entities, strategic and governance issues for public and private companies and structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He worked with large and small businesses and regularly advises directors on corporate and strategic issues.
Community Activities
- Serves on the Community Outreach Committee at Calvary Church
- Volunteers as a construction team leader for Habitat for Humanity
- Has served as vice president of the John Ball Zoo Society and co-chaired the $20 million capital fund drive for John Ball Zoo in 1992-93
- Has served as a trustee and youth counselor at First United Methodist Church and was instrumental in the formation
- Was an initial director of West Michigan Dental Foundation, Community Counseling and Personal Growth Ministry, Northeast Neighborhood Association and Friends of the Yankee Clipper Library
