Business Law Experience
Dan's practice includes the capitalization and structure of business entities, strategic and governance issues for public and private companies and structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliances. He has worked with large and small businesses and regularly advises directors on corporate and strategic issues.
Community Activities
- Board member, former president and construction volunteer for Habitat for Humanity
- Currently a director and has served as vice president of the John Ball Zoo Society and as a co-chair of the $20 million capital fund drive for John Ball Zoo in 1992-93
- Has served as a trustee and youth counselor at First United Methodist Church and was instrumental in the formation, and in numerous capacities at Cornerstone United Methodist Church
- Was an initial director of West Michigan Dental Foundation, Community Counseling and Personal Growth Ministry, Northeast Neighborhood Association and Friends of the Yankee Clipper Library
