Varnum tax attorney Eric Nemeth is once again a featured speaker at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy C-Level Executive Panel presentation to be held Thursday, Feb. 16 at Henry Ford College in Dearborn.
The Metro Detroit Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a 30-week class for middle and high school students. Throughout the class, students develop business ideas, write business plans, conduct market research, pitch their plans to a panel of investors, and launch and run their own companies and social movements. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy serves thousands of students in communities across America. A total of 11 students are taking part in the Metro Detroit program this year.
This is the second year Nemeth has volunteered to address students in the program. Other panelists will include Wassim Mafouz, Executive Director of LAHC; Frank Kadaf, President of Archive Solution Group; Jon Campbell, President of JMC McDonald’s, Inc.; and Dr. Christal Sheppard, Director of the Midwest Regional U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Nemeth is a partner at Varnum and leads the firm’s tax group. He concentrates his practice on tax and financial controversy (IRS and various states) including examinations, appellate conferences, criminal investigations, witness representation and civil and criminal tax litigation. Prior to entering private practice, Nemeth was a Senior Trial Attorney for the District Counsel of the IRS and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Department of Justice.
