Macaddino Joins Varnum Real Estate Practice

Varnum is pleased to announce that Kevin Macaddino has joined the Real Estate Practice Team at Varnum. He is based in Varnum’s Novi office.

Macaddino focuses his practice on real estate land acquisition, development, financing and leasing. He represents a wide array of clients, ranging from publicly-traded companies to startup entrepreneurs. He joined the firm from a small boutique firm where he had practiced since 2011. Prior to the he was a shareholder at Williams, Williams, Rattner and Plunkett.

Macaddino also served as the president of a successful custom home builder in southeast Michigan. This practical experience, together with more than 30 years of legal experience, enables him to offer exceptional value to his clients through a focused, problem-solving approach to the complex issues of real estate and corporate transactions.

Macaddino is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Real Property Law Section and serves on the Special Committee for Commercial leasing and the Commercial Real Estate Development and Ownership Committee. He recently chaired the section’s Groundbreakers seminar “Show me the Money – Non-Traditional Financing Alternatives.” He has been appointed to the State Bar of Michigan’s Professional Ethics Committee and the Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law. Macaddino has served as the chairman of the Oakland County Bar Association Real Estate Law Section and has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2004.

Macaddino is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School and received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University. He is rated AV-Preeminent™ – the highest possible rating – by Martindale-Hubbell.
