Varnum estate planning attorney Linsey Gleason is a recipient of the Grand Rapids Bar Association’s 3-In-10 Award, presented to attorneys in their first 10 years of practice who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, exceptional public service, and significant contributions to the legal profession.
“Linsey hit the ball out of the park in all of these areas,” said Varnum attorney Joy Fossel, who currently serves as president-elect of the Bar Association.
Gleason, a partner at Varnum, focuses on estate planning preparation, estate and trust administration, guardianship and conservatorship services, elder law and special needs trusts. Outside of her practice, she is extremely active in the community. She is currently a member of the boards of directors for Senior Neighbors, Inc., where she serves as chair; for the Grand Rapids Public Museum Foundation; and for Holland Home Foundation. She is also a member of the Finance and Audit Committee for Heart of West Michigan United Way.
Gleason is a member and former chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and is a member and past president of the Women Lawyer’s Association of Michigan – Western Region. She frequently works with Grand Rapids Legal Aid on pro bono probate cases.
Gleason will receive the 3-In-10 Award at the GRBA’s annual meeting set for Thursday, May 11 at City Flats Hotel in Grand Rapids.
