A change in presidential administrations brings with it the likelihood that the Employee Free Choice Act
(EFCA) will pass in some form. While the legislative process may alter the EFCA as currently proposed, this amendment to the National Labor Relations Act is likely to change the way unions organize non-union workers, the way unions and employers bargain “first” contracts, and/or employers’ liability for certain unfair labor practices.

Varnum labor attorneys are offering a short seminar to bring employers up to speed on the EFCA and to
help you prepare for the changes it may bring. Every employer who may become the target of a union
organizing drive should attend.
