Managing Partners Diversity Collaborative 2013 LSAT Scholarship

The Managing Partners Diversity Collaborative (MPDC) has funded an LSAT Scholarship to assist college students and other members of the Grand Rapids community who desire to enter law school with the cost of preparing for and taking the LSAT admission test. Internship for Pre-Law Students
Fall and Winter Application Deadline: October 4, 2013
Do you have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, or are you a member of a racial or ethnic minority? Varnum created its Diversity & Inclusion Pre-Law Internship Program to provide encouragement and experience to college students considering a career in law. Designed to expose students to all areas of a large law firm, the pre-law internship program includes working with attorneys as well as rotating through other departments of the firm, including marketing, human resources, library and central services. The pre-law internship is a paid position.
Candidates for the pre-law internship should embody a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and/or their community. During winter of 2013, internships will be available to sophomore or junior college students at Varnum’s Grand Rapids and Metro Detroit offices.
Fellowship for 2L Students
Application Deadline: October 11, 2013
Varnum created its Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship Program to provide encouragement and financial assistance to law students who embody a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and/or their community. During 2013, up to two awards of $7,500 each will be made to second-year law students who will also participate in Varnum's 2014 summer associate program.
LSAT Prep Scholarship for Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors
Application Deadline: April 30, 2014
Varnum created its LSAT Preparation Course Scholarship to provide financial assistance and ensure adequate preparation of undergraduate students who desire to attend law school and who demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and/or their community. During 2014, Varnum will pay up to $1,500 each for the cost of two juniors or seniors to attend an LSAT Preparation course offered by Kaplan Test Prep and Admission.
