Diversity and Inclusion at Varnum
Fellowship for 2L Students
Varnum created its Diversity & Inclusion Fellowship Program to provide encouragement and financial assistance to law students who embody a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the legal profession and/or their community. During 2012, up to two awards of $7,500 each will be made to second-year law students who will also participate in Varnum's 2013 summer associate program.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
The fellowship is open to students in their second year of law school. Selection criteria include:
- Academic achievement as reflected by a cumulative minimum 3.3 GPA.
- Recipient demonstrates a significant commitment to issues of ethnic or racial diversity and inclusion.
Application Requirements - Application Deadline: September 7, 2012
This is a competitive application process. All application materials must be complete and received on or before the September 7, 2012 deadline. Please submit the following items with the fellowship application form:
- A resume, current academic transcript and writing sample.
- A typed personal statement addressing your efforts to promote ethnic or racial diversity and inclusion.
