  • Details Announced Concerning U.S. Supreme Court Clerk Program on October 17

    The Western District of Michigan FBA recently announced that, in addition to attending the FBA's annual meeting and conducting a Supreme Court swearing-in ceremony, Supreme Court Clerk General William K. Suter will also be participating in an informal interview/Q & A program in the Jury Assembly Room of the federal courthouse at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17.

  • Hillman Advocacy Program a Resounding Success

    March 28, 2012

    During the week of January 18, 2012, the Federal Bar of West Michigan and the United States District Court for the Western District sponsored the 31st annual Hillman Advocacy Program.  Over 60 students participated in the 2 ½ - day trial practice workshop.  The Hillman Advocacy Program is a learn-by-doing seminar that gives lawyers a unique opportunity to develop courtroom skills under the guidance of some of Western Michigan’s top trial lawyers – all of whom volunteer their time.
