The Johnson Controls-Saft joint venture in the production of advanced batteries may be ending.  Johnson Controls (JCI) announced on May 18 that it was looking to end its relationship with Saft which has been in place since 2006.  JCI is looking to expand beyond the terms agreed upon in 2006, and Saft has declared that it intends to dispute the legitimacy of the claim.  Both parties have reassured the public that all present commitments and planned programs will not be affected by the disagreement.
