O'Malley Named to Michigan Chamber's Board of Directors

Lansing, Mich., September 8, 2009 – Varnum partner Kevin C. O'Malley was named to the Board of Directors of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
The mission of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce is to promote conditions favorable to job creation and business growth in Michigan. With over 7,000 members and 260 volunteer leaders, the Michigan Chamber is one of the largest state chambers in the country.
O'Malley is chair of Varnum's Association Law group, which handles various aspects of association legal representation for many trade, professional and philanthropic associations. He also has experience as general counsel for large, mid-sized and small Michigan corporations. In addition, O'Malley represents Michigan banks and bank holding companies in a variety of matters and handles complex commercial real estate transactions.
O'Malley plays an active role in the Lansing community where he volunteers for the Lansing City Rescue Mission and Lansing Volunteers of America. He also serves on the Mayor's Council of Economic Advisors for the City of Lansing. O'Malley is a graduate of Villanova University and Temple University School of Law.
